Join ACEC/MD

ACEC/MD serves the business needs of its professional member firms, and is Maryland's member-organization of the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC). ACEC/MD includes over 90 consulting engineering firms employing over 7,000 employees. 

Is Your Firm Eligible for Membership?

ACEC/MD offers two types of membership:

Full Members: Consulting Engineering Firms that furnish independent engineering and or/land surveying services; maintain office(s) in the State of Maryland; have principals registered or licensed professionally in accordance with the laws of the State of Maryland; have at least one Maryland-registered engineer; have high professional and ethical standards; practice engineering in accordance with the Code of Ethics and Standards of Professional Conduct of the Council.

Affiliate Members: Companies that provide professional services (example: law firms, insurance providers, contractors, architects) that support the goals of ACEC/MD and ACEC member firms.

ACEC/MW Joint Council Membership

Firms with an office in Prince George's or Montgomery County Maryland may join ACEC/MD as Joint Council Members with ACEC/Metropolitan Washington (ACEC/MW) subject to the following conditions:

-The firm is a member of the American Council of Engineering Companies/Metropolitan Washington
-The firm does not have an office in Maryland anywhere other than in Prince George's or Montgomery County, Maryland
-The firm meets all of the requirements for membership as stated in the Bylaws
