About Allison:

Allison Scott, PE, is the MTA Red Line Senior Project Director. Ms. Scott brings over 18 years of experience as a civil engineer, successfully leading transportation and transit projects in urban, multimodal environments from concept studies through preliminary and final design. She has been the civil engineering lead on numerous large transit projects in the metropolitan area as both a design oversight consultant and an engineer of record, including Montgomery County Bus Rapid Transit on US 29 and MD 586, D.C. Department of Transportation Streetcar and K Street NW Transitway, Richmond Highway BRT, and the Maryland Transit Administration Purple Line.

Topic: Redline 2.0

Abstract: Restarting a project that was the highest priority corridor in the 2002 Baltimore Regional Transit System that was advanced into the design, slated to receive $900 million in federal funding, and ultimately canceled by then Governor Larry Hogan in 2015 to the relaunch of the Red Line by Governor Moore in June 2023. MTA will walk through the alternatives analysis phase of the project, including alternatives under consideration, measures of effectiveness, and looking forward to the next steps of this accelerated project schedule.
